This is my first try to participate in the MAC ATTACKS of a favorite blog:Mactweets.
each month there is a different theme for making macarons, it's truly inspiring!
after checking the blog and recipes of different bloggers for a while, i decided- no more back stage - into the front! I'll try to take part and see if it will help me learn better the secrets of this perfect cookie.
This childhood memory is about two favorite drinks I had as a little girl:
raspberry, and coffee!..
yes, I was asking for coffee when I was about 6.. I started to drink it with a lot of milk and a small amount of coffee.
as for "raspberry juice", it's also a name of a book i grew up on, as almost any kid around my age heard the story- it tells the story of a rabbit named "raspberry juice" that moves into a new house. next to him lives a lion and a giraffe. the rabbit wouldn't leave his house and meet anyone, he was very mysterious and all that the lion and giraffe ever saw was a leg, a hand or a pair of ears through his door. one day they waited around his house and hid, until he came out. they called to him, asked him what he was, and introduced themselves. and the rabbit? he invited them in his house for raspberry juice. =)
the macarons I made for the first try are vanilla bean with raspberry-white chocolate ganache, and coffee macs with white chocolate -coffee ganache.
this is the first try, but as always something bothered me (there is always something wrong-even if I don't see it-I taste it.. like texture or not enough flavor..)
so, I couldn't make peace with those and decided to give it another try, this time with colors inspired by the cover of the book "Raspberry Juice".
I had a first try with piping two colors..
but it was a sad result, they tured out cracked and and feetless...
here you can see the almost feet (microscopic feet)
